This variation on the classic stormtrooper is trained to operate with maximum efficiency even colder environments, such as the planet Hoth. In fact, it was snowtroopers that were largely responsible for the capture of the Rebel base on Hoth during Episode V. The most stand-out feature of a snowtrooper's armor is the armor's heating system, powered by a durable power cell on carried on the snowtroper's back. The heating system includes heated pants, shirt, and face mask. Snowtrooper armor also includes a cape which adds to the aura already surrounding the terrifying troops. Due to their advanced suits, snowtroopers have proven to be some of the most successful stormtrooper units. The suits also include wrist comlinks and snow goggles. Snowtroopers are also trained to operate heavier weapons as pictured above. Though snowtroopers can survive for approximately two weeks even in the harshest cold environments, snowtroopers can not travel long distances on foot. Thusm they are usually deployed from AT-AT's or other troop carrying vehicles.
