C-3PO, pronounced See-Threepio, is one of the few characters in the Star Wars series the has appeared in all the films in one form or another. In fact this title belongs only to several characters namely: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Palpatine. Threepio is the droid on the right. I guess i chose this picture because I found it amusing. The two droids have that what you talkin bout? look on their faces. Anyway....C-3PO is a protocol droid programmed for human cyborg relations. Though droids are usually not known for their personalities, this droid surely has one. He is a rather pessimisstic fellow, even though he has been lucky enough to survive many a dangerous situation. Though he was built by Anakin Skywalker from spare parts, and it blown apart a couple of times throughout the series, he always manages to be quite a useful and/or annoying droid. Over the many years he has been active, C-3PO has helped Shmi Skywalker around the house, translated for Jabba the Hutt, been a diplomatic protocol droid for a young Princess Leia, and been present at both the first battle of the Clone War and the Battle of Endor, the last battle of the Galactic Civil War. Threepio is many time pared with his counterpart R2-D2, even before he is officially his counterpart. The droid pair always have humorous adventures together. Whether evading captue with the rest of the Rebels or just talking with each other, one can always count on laughs from these two. Threepio is fluent in six million languages and has a bad habit of informing others of the odds of their survival. Though the Rebellion could have succeeded without the prescence of C-3PO, the movies would never be the same without him.
