Well, once again the time has come for the next chapter in the Star Wars saga to exit hyperspace and arrive at docking bay 94 a.k.a. theaters around the country. May 16th is the official release date which is a Thursday!? I assume this is because Star Wars wanted its own day as most movies are released on Wednesdays or Fridays. Anyway, there is obviously much speculation about what will be revealed in this movie. Being the middle movie of this "pre-trilogy" it is going to have to be good as it has to incorporate elements of the first and leave an opening for interest in the sequel. Episode III (man that sounds weird) is going to be the darkest of the three, as George Lucas puts it. This one is supposed to be "more of a love story" says Lucas. When I first heard this I was a little worried. However, Episode V: Empire Strikes Back was also more of a love story and it turned out just great. There's plenty of cool stuff in this movie as far as I can see. Jedi Starfighters using the Force to fight rather than relying on weapons. Jango Fett and his son Boba Fett bounty hunting together. Oh and Queen Amidala looking, well hot. I know it sounds pathetic, but just click on the link below to see what I'm talking about. The only problem I see with the whole "pre-trilogy" is it seems somewhat repetetive. For example, in Episode IV a young boy is discovered with great power who doesn't realize his importance to the galaxy. Toward the end of the movie, a great teacher is killed, inspiring his pupil to go on. He later defies the odds blowing up a giant space station and saving the galaxy. Sound familiar? Indeed, it shares similarities to Episode I. However, I found Episode I to be quite enjoyable nonetheless.
